What is Marma? Marma is a traditional Ayurvedic treatment method that works with the body’s vital energy points – similar to acupuncture points in Chinese medicine. There are 107 marma points in the body where nerves, blood vessels, connective tissue, muscles, and energy pathways meet. These points act as gateways between the body and consciousness. When they are stimulated with gentle touch, pressure, or oils, blockages can be released and the body’s life force energy (prana) can begin to flow more freely.
